Prime Design Homes New Construction Division presents 15 Semmes Ave, Mobile, AL 36604.  After fully evaluating the structure that previously occupied the address of 15 Semmes, Ave. and determining its structural composition had deteriorated beyond repair, we immediately took to designing a brand new home.

Designing a home to fit a 50′ x 145′ lot can present challenges in and of itself but we did our best to maximize the use of this space while maintaining the historical integrity of the Dauphin Way Historic District, and the neighboring homes on Semmes Ave. What we ended up with is a mixture of old-world charm and modern functionality in the overall floor plan.  The upstairs includes 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.  The downstairs maintains the shotgun flow of a historical home all the while showcasing features rich in modern style and sophistication.  The main floor consists of a living room, dining room, open kitchen with island bar, walk-in pantry, powder room, mud bench, and laundry room with spacious storage. The master suite not only looks out to the patio, but it also makes a grand gesture with the 8′ antique European doors repurposed into barn doors that open to the master bath. The master bathroom includes a claw-foot tub, a separate custom tile shower with subway tile and marble octagon mosaic floor tile, and wainscoting trim.  By using a soft white color palette, the features in this home display themselves through their own color and boldness.
