Welcome to 6404 Cathedral Way, Mobile, AL 36695. This home was originally built in 1977 and like many things from the ’70s that are no longer relevant, this home had some functional issues of its own. After bringing these functional obscurities to light, we redesigned various aspects of this floorplan to make it more open and appealing conforming to the way life is lived today. Once we stripped this house down to its core, we expanded the kitchen and eliminated the formal living room by removing the loadbearing wall and reinforcing the structure with an LVL beam effectively converting it to a fully open floor plan. By expanding the kitchen we were able to provide additional cabinetry as well as provide space for an island and breakfast bar sitting area. We were then able to reconfigure the pantry and laundry rooms to allow for a larger walk-in pantry while maintaining a large functional laundry area complete with a mud bench. The master bathroom was another area that saw a complete redesign. We were able to take what was a cramped, dungeon-like master bathroom with a very small shower and turn it into an open, airy master bathroom complete with a custom tile shower, double vanities, and linen closet. This home is much more than your average renovation. When we say we stripped 6404 Cathedral Way to its core, we mean we stripped it all the way to the studs, redesigned the floor plan, re-engineered all structural changes, re-wired the entire home, repiped all the water lines, and rebuilt this house with custom amenities you would expect out of a new custom-built home. This process changes the effective age of a property. In essence, we are providing a new home to an existing, established neighborhood. You are going to want to see this home for yourself and see what we mean when we say, we are “building a higher standard of living”. Amenities in this home are as follows:
